Japan Garden Tour

On the Pacific Horticulture’s trip to Japan, I was reminded how design and beauty work hand in hand. Every stone, bridge, and pathway felt deliberate, part of a larger composition that invites both movement and stillness. Catching a glimpse of a boat tour through a classical Edo-era garden, we saw how reflections on the water became part of the design itself, changing with the light and season. The visual delight of these gardens isn’t separate from their structure; it’s the result of sometimes centuries of careful planning, balance, and respect for the surrounding landscape. Tea ceremonies, traditional dance, bento boxes, and great conversation formed an unforgettable time of travel.
