Gardens of the French Riviera

In May, I had the privilege of serving as the official tour escort for Pacific Horticulture’s visit to the gardens of the French Riviera. Over the course of 17 gardens and parks, our group witnessed how French horticulturists and designers have embraced the region’s dry, challenging landscape as a source of creativity rather than limitation. Each garden revealed how working with the climate, rather than against it, can yield water-wise, enduring, and profoundly beautiful results.

A special thanks to David Laws for his stunning photography that captures the essence of these gardens so vividly. You can read his full story on Medium for a deeper look at this unforgettable journey.

If you’re interested in joining one of our upcoming trips, please reach out to Pacific Horticulture and tell them I sent you!
